{"id":52,"date":"2012-06-17T05:54:18","date_gmt":"2012-06-17T04:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/knowledgeetal.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/30\/knowledge-retention-a-story-collectors-guide"},"modified":"2016-10-26T13:33:44","modified_gmt":"2016-10-26T12:33:44","slug":"knowledge-retention-a-story-collectors-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.knowledgeetal.com\/?p=52","title":{"rendered":"knowledge retention: a story collectors guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"post_content_24540727717\" class=\"post_content clearfix\">\n<div class=\"post_text_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"post_title\">At the back end of May 2012 I was in Bogota and met a team from the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) to discuss the timetable for completing the <a href=\"http:\/\/ciatcapacity.cgiar.org\/en\/2011\/08\/pocket-guide-story-collecting\/\" target=\"_blank\">story collectors guide<\/a> first conceived during the second half of 2011 during Victoria Ward&#8217;s trip to Colombia.<\/div>\n<p>CIAT\u2019s mission:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To reduce hunger and poverty, and improve human health in the tropics through research aimed at increasing the eco-efficiency of agriculture<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>is one Sparknow fully supports so it is a great pleasure for us to be able to help them bring this guide to fruition.<\/p>\n<p>Soon, researchers jetting from country to country will have guidance and ideas on how they might go about noticing and collecting the stories and anecdotes that bring data, events and topics to life at their finger tips to complement traditional field data and observations.
